Europe’s Top Goalscorers in 2023

If you were under the misapprehension that scoring is a dying art in football, Europe’s top goalscorers in 2023 would beg to differ.

Europe’s big five leagues feature some of the finest forwards on the planet, each of whom love nothing more than putting the ball in the back of the net.

With that in mind, we look at the top ten goalscorers in Europe’s big five leagues in 2023 (statistics include league, national cups, Champions League and Europa League).

With one month of 2023 remaining, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is on course to be Europe’s top goalscorer of the year.

Kane has been in stellar form since moving to the Bundesliga last summer, but could still be overhauled before the end of December.

Paris Saint Germain’s Kylian Mbappe is five goals behind Kane, while Manchester City star Erling Braut Haaland is a further goal adrift.

However, the Norwegian international could overtake his rivals as Man City have more games scheduled during December than Bayern and PSG.

Further down the list, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah will fancy his chances of climbing up from eighth place as he is just one goal behind Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in fifth.

We will update this page as the month progresses, before confirming the final standings at the end of the year.
