Africa Cup of Nations Winners List
The Africa Cup of Nations is the premier international football tournament for African nations. Founded in 1957, it has undergone various scheduling changes since then.
From 1968, it has been held every two years, switching to odd-numbered years in 2013 so as to not clash with the World Cup.
Egypt hold the record for the most AFCON wins with seven, with Cameroon (five) and Ghana (four) rounding off the top three.
The reigning champions are Senegal, having won their first title and beating Egypt in the AFCON 2021 final.
