Jude Bellingham set for lucrative new Real Madrid contract

Jude Bellingham is in line for a lucrative contract renewal at Real Madrid despite having almost three years remaining on his current deal.

The England international joined Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in 2023. He has bagged 49 goals and 36 assists in 148 appearances since joining the 15-time European champions.

His current contract runs until June 2029, but Madrid are already preparing to reward him with improved terms.

According to transfer reporter Matteo Moretto (via Sport), the midfielder is the next major player the Spanish giants intend to tie down.

The proposed agreement could extend Bellingham’s stay at the Bernabeu Stadium until either 2030 or 2031.

Madrid’s decision is not driven by any immediate concerns over Bellingham’s contract situation.

The midfielder currently earns considerably less than two of the club’s other headline stars, with estimates suggesting his fixed salary stands at around €20.83 million gross per season.

Vinicius Junior recently extended his contract until 2032, while Kylian Mbappe sits in the same approximate salary bracket.

Both players reportedly earn around €31.25m gross annually before bonuses and incentives.

Madrid have built around Bellingham, Vinicius and Mbappe, and securing all three on long-term agreements would provide stability for their plans.

Bellingham’s proposed renewal would also underline just how quickly his status has risen since arriving in Spain. He has become one of the world’s finest midfielders.

After playing a key role in England’s third-place finish at the 2026 World Cup, he has started the 2026/27 campaign with three goals and three assists in eight appearances.
