Confirmed Manchester United XI vs Man City: Luke Shaw injured, Benjamin Sesko dropped

Manchester United welcome Manchester City to Old Trafford for a blockbuster Premier League clash on Sunday.

The Red Devils have made a mixed start to the season, picking up four points from their opening three games.

City have won all three fixtures to make an impeccable start this campaign.

United manager Michael Carrick has made three changes to the team that won 4-0 against Sabah FK in the Champions League on Thursday.

Senne Lammens continues in goal, hoping to secure his first league clean sheet of the season.

Luke Shaw is absent after being forced off with injury in the draw with Everton last weekend.

Patrick Dorgu will retain his left-back spot, with Noussair Mazraoui making way for Diogo Dalot on the opposite flank.

Leny Yoro, who partnered Lisandro Martinez in central defence last time, has been dropped to the bench. Carrick has decided to bring back the experienced Harry Maguire for the derby.

There are no changes in midfield, with Kobbie Mainoo and Youri Tielemans retaining their respective places.

Bruno Fernandes has been United’s most consistent performer in recent years. The Portuguese will look to produce his best as an attacking midfielder against their arch-rivals City.

Benjamin Sesko made a strong case for a start after a stellar display against Sabah.

However, there is no place for the Slovenian in the starting XI. Marcus Rashford has replaced him in attack.

Matheus Cunha and h Bryan Mbeumo complete the attacking line-up.
