Aston Villa in pole position to sign Arsenal target Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Aston Villa are ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign West Ham United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka, per the Daily Mail

Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes have already left the London Stadium following the Hammers’ relegation to the Championship.

Arsenal have been linked with an interest in Wan-Bissaka. Jurrien Timber is still weeks away from making a full recovery from his injury, prompting the Gunners to seek a quality full-back.

However, Villa are currently in pole position to sign the former Manchester United player.

The Midlands club are set to compete on multiple fronts next season, and manager Unai Emery is keen to strengthen their backline.

Villa are working on a deal to sign Atletico Madrid left-back Matteo Ruggeri.

Wan-Bissaka has been a key first-team player for West Ham since joining them in 2024.

He has made 65 appearances across all competitions, weighing in with 10 goal contributions.

Wan-Bissaka has five years left on his contract, but he wants to continue playing in the Premier League

Villa could be an attractive destination for the player, but West Ham are unlikely to let him leave without a fight.
