Savinho submits formal transfer request to force Manchester City exit

Manchester City winger Savinho has submitted a formal request to leave the club and move elsewhere this summer.

The Brazil international is unhappy with his bit-part role and wishes to move elsewhere in search of regular first-team football.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that the 22-year-old star wants the club to allow him to leave.

Savinho has spent the last year seeking a move away from the Etihad Stadium after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola ahead of the 2025-26 season.

The arrival of Antoine Semenyo further pushed him down the pecking order, resulting in only 14 appearances for the club since the turn of the year.

The former Girona man bagged five goals and three assists in 39 appearances across all competitions last season.

The Cityzens value the youngster at €55 million and are in the market for another winger this summer.

Tottenham and AC Milan on high alert as Savinho seeks summer move

Tottenham Hotspur will re-enter talks with City for Savinho, having retained an interest in him since 2025.

They made an approach last summer but were unsuccessful, and will now be emboldened by Savinho’s open desire to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.

New manager Roberto De Zerbi is interested in the Brazilian, and Tottenham will return with an approach for him this summer.

AC Milan have also been keeping tabs on the winger and will look to swoop in this summer.

The Serie A giants will be unable to compete with Tottenham, as they lack the financial muscle to afford him.
