Arsenal expected to make formal approach for £100m Premier League forward

Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.

The Gunners have made Rogers their top target this summer and are expected to make a formal approach, per Sky Sports News

Villa have already lost Youri Tielemans to Manchester United, while Lucas Digne is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain.

They do not want to lose Rogers in the same transfer window, and are in a strong negotiating position as his contract runs until 2031.

A transfer for the England international could cost Arsenal well over £100 million.

Arsenal have already agreed a £34m fee for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis, but the move won’t impact their pursuit of the Villa star.

Rogers has significantly enhanced his reputation since joining the Midlands outfit in 2024.

He played an instrumental role in Villa’s Europa League triumph in 2025-26, scoring a goal and assisting another in the final against SC Freiburg.

The 23-year-old amassed 55 appearances across all competitions last season, bagging 14 goals and 12 assists.

He also featured six times for England at the World Cup 2026, recording two assists.

Rogers would be a useful acquisition for Arsenal, but Villa are unlikely to let him leave without a fight.
