Tottenham plotting shock move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a shock move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Spurs have been active in the summer transfer window, completing deals for Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.

They recently had a £75 million bid rejected for Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali

According to the i Paper, Tottenham are now considering a move for Rashford.

They do not intend to meet United’s £40 million asking price, but would be prepared to make a lower offer.

Rashford spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Barcelona after falling out of favour at Old Trafford.

He was impressive with his performances for the Spanish giants, bagging 14 goals and 14 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.

Barcelona had an option to sign him permanently for £26m, but the deadline for that price has passed.

The 28-year-old’s preference would be to return to the Blaugrana, but a transfer looks unlikely after they spent £69.3m to sign his international teammate Anthony Gordon.

Rashford is currently with England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup

He started on the bench against Croatia last week, but made a quick impact after Thomas Tuchel introduced him in the second half.

Rashford scored with a fine finish after 85 minutes to help the Three Lions seal a 4-2 victory.
