Real Madrid have moved to publicly deny reports linking them with a move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise.
The Spanish giants released an official statement on Saturday, distancing themselves from speculation that they had made contact regarding the France international.
Olise has been one of Europe’s standout attacking players over the last two seasons and continues to attract attention following his impressive performances for both club and country.
The 24-year-old joined Bayern from Crystal Palace in 2024 and is under contract until 2029.
Madrid were reportedly interested in bringing the winger to the Santiago Bernabeu, but the club have now firmly rejected those claims.
They stressed that no discussions had taken place with either the player or his representatives.
The club also reiterated its long-standing relationship with Bayern and emphasised the importance of maintaining respectful dealings between the two European giants.
Madrid stated that they had ‘not had any direct or indirect contact’ with Olise or his representatives.
They also expressed frustration at what they described as inaccurate speculation surrounding the situation.
The statement further highlighted the strong relationship between the two clubs and underlined Madrid’s belief that any potential interest in a Bayern player should first be addressed directly with his club.
The public denial is unusual and reflects Madrid’s desire to shut down the rumours before they gather further momentum.
Olise is currently away with France at the World Cup and made an immediate impact in his country’s opening match against Senegal.
The winger registered two assists during France’s 3-1 victory and once again demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the most dangerous attacking players in Europe.
His performances have only intensified interest from clubs across the continent, although Bayern remain under no pressure to sell.
Since arriving in Germany, Olise has developed into a key figure for the Bundesliga champions.
The French international has amassed an impressive record of goals and assists while helping Bayern secure continued domestic success.
His creativity, technical quality and versatility have made him one of the most highly regarded wide forwards in world football.
Olise’s focus will remain on helping France challenge for World Cup glory while his future continues to attract attention across Europe.
