Dusan Vlahovic will leave Juventus as a free agent at the end of the month after the club failed to reach an agreement with him over a new contract.
The Serbian international met with Juventus officials this week for decisive talks regarding his future in Turin.
However, no compromise was reached, and Vlahovic is now set to depart when his current deal expires on June 30.
The news brings an end to a four-and-a-half-year spell at Juventus following his high-profile move from Fiorentina in January 2022.
Juventus invested more than €80 million to sign Vlahovic and viewed him as the long-term focal point of their attack.
While there were flashes of his quality during his time in Turin, the partnership ultimately failed to deliver the consistency both sides had hoped for.
Vlahovic scored 68 goals in 168 appearances for Juventus across all competitions.
His final season was heavily disrupted by injury.
The 26-year-old made only 23 appearances after suffering a serious muscle injury in November that required surgery and sidelined him for more than four months.
Despite returning strongly towards the end of the season, contract negotiations never reached a successful conclusion.
Vlahovic’s salary demands significantly exceeded what Juventus were prepared to offer.
Club director Giorgio Chiellini admitted he was disappointed by the outcome but acknowledged that financial differences made an agreement impossible.
“I’m sad because I wanted Dusan to stay as he cares about our club,” Chiellini said. “But he wants a higher salary. At the current salary conditions, he will not stay in Italy.”
Interest in Vlahovic remains strong across Europe despite his injury-hit season.
Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Barcelona have all made contact with his representatives in recent weeks.
Napoli have also been linked with the striker, particularly following the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri, who previously worked with Vlahovic at Juventus.
Vlahovic is one of the most attractive free agents available this summer and is unlikely to be short of offers as he prepares for the next chapter of his career.
