PSG considering swoop to sign Eli Junior Kroupi this summer

Paris Saint-Germain have positioned themselves to sign Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi, according to L’Equipe.

Kroupi caught the eye in his debut Premier League campaign, bagging 13 goals to help the Cherries qualify for the Europa League.

The 19-year-old has earmarked himself as one of the finest young strikers in the game, and his performances have alerted several clubs, including PSG.

Kroupi is a young French talent, a profile PSG have been acquiring in the transfer market.

He is also of Portuguese ancestry, something to note with sporting director Luis Campos.

Campos has previously signed Joao Neves, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Goncalo Ramos for the back-to-back Champions League winners.

Ramos will likely leave the Parc des Princes in search of more game time, and Kroupi would be a terrific replacement.

PSG have spoken about winning a third Champions League title, and the former Lorient star is the kind of player the attacking unit needs to help them reach that goal.

The PSG hierarchy has been talking about him for weeks, although it would take a huge offer to make it happen.

Bournemouth want to keep him and will ask for a premium on the €13 million they paid for him.

However, PSG have the financial might to pull off the move if they can ward off interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

PSG are also eyeing RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande as they look to add even more pace and directness to their frontline.

They also want to bring in AS Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, who has been a target for a while.

He is a perfect replacement for Kang-in Lee, who might also leave in search of playing time.
