Liverpool handed a major Alisson Becker boost after Juventus transfer claims

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been linked with a move away from Liverpool, despite recently extending his contract until 2027.

Juventus have been linked with Alisson. The Italian giants consider him an affordable target, as he has one year left on his contract.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims he wants to join Juventus, even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. Sunday’s Premier League game against Brentford will reportedly be his last for Liverpool.

However, WINWIN reports that ‘all indications’ are that the Brazilian will remain at Liverpool beyond the summer, as he is happy at the club.

Retaining Alisson is a huge boost for Liverpool

Alisson joined the Reds in 2018 and has been consistent since his move.

He has won six titles, including one Champions League and the Premier League twice. He has also claimed the Premier League Golden Glove twice.

Losing Allison would have been costly for Liverpool, given Giorgi Mamardashvili’s inconsistent performances this season.

Mamardashvili is a good shot-stopper, but does not exude confidence with the ball at his feet.

His experience and leadership will help them cope with the departures of Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson.

The Merseyside giants will now hope he can overcome his fitness concerns. He has missed 26 games due to various injuries this season.
