Players who Barcelona could sell to raise funds for key summer targets

Barcelona clinched their 29th La Liga title with an impressive 2-0 victory against Real Madrid on Sunday at the Nou Camp.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring before Ferran Torres added another with a fine finish as Hansi Flick’s side secured the title with three games remaining.

The 2025-26 season is a success for Barcelona, but Flick needs reinforcements to take the club to greater heights next term.

A quality striker and a reliable centre-back are two priority positions for the Catalans, with Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez and Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni reportedly their primary targets.

However, they will have to sell some big stars to raise the required funds.

Ferran Torres

Torres has been an important first-team player for Barcelona this season, scoring 16 goals in 31 La Liga games.

The Spaniard will be out of contract next year, triggering speculation he could be sold this summer.

Torres is a versatile forward who can play across the frontline. But he hasn’t established himself as untouchable in the squad.

If Robert Lewandowski stays, Barcelona will likely look to sell him. Given his age and the quality he offers, they can hope to get a hefty transfer fee for him.

Jules Kounde

Kounde has endured an underwhelming season, failing to replicate the excellent form he showed last term.

The Frenchman has been a key defender since joining Barca in 2022, but the club can afford to sell him this summer.

The Blaugrana are working to secure Joao Cancelo on a permanent deal, while Eric Garcia can also play at right-back.

The emergence of Hector Fort and Xavi Espart means they will not be short of full-back options.

With strong interest from the Premier League, Barcelona could command a massive fee for Kounde.

Marc Casado

Casado is a fine talent known for his exceptional work rate, passing, and tactical intelligence.

With intense competition in the middle of the park, Casado has been limited to just nine La Liga starts.

His situation isn’t expected to improve next season, and a transfer would benefit all parties involved.

Given his age and quality, Barcelona shouldn’t have problems finding suitors for the defensive midfielder.
