Liverpool considering double swoop for Monaco duo Maghnes Akliouche and Lamine Camara

Liverpool are considering a double swoop for Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche and Lamine Camara, according to L’Equipe.

The Reds are exploring the market for a replacement for Mohamed Salah and have identified Akliouche as a target. Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in him.

Akliouche has bagged seven goals and 11 assists in 41 games across all competitions this term.

He is primarily a right winger, but can also be deployed as an attacking midfielder, second striker and centre-forward.

He is valued at €50 million and his departure from Monaco this summer is ‘almost certain’. Liverpool are reportedly ready to meet his valuation.

Akliouche is a cheaper alternative to RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and PSG’s Bradley Barcola, both of whom are high on the Reds’ attacking shortlist.

Camara is also on their radar. The club are preparing for Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister to leave the club this summer.

He is capable of breaking defences with incisive passes and offers an attacking presence in the final third.

The Senegalese also provides defensive support. Only RC Lens’ Malang Sarr and Metz’s Sadibou Sane are averaging more interceptions per game in Ligue 1.

Monaco signed him from FC Metz for €15m in 2024. They would demand around double that fee this summer.

Newcastle United are also interested in Camara, but the prospect of playing Champions League football could result in him favouring a move to Liverpool.
