Tottenham Hotspur have suffered another injury blow ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Sun claims that left-back Destiny Udogie is a doubt for the clash after picking up an unspecified injury.
Udogie has endured a difficult campaign, dealing with injuries. He has missed 19 games due to various fitness concerns this term.
The Italian started manager Roberto de Zerbi’s first two games in charge. He has featured in 24 matches across all competitions, recording just one assist.
Udogie’s potential absence will leave Djed Spence and Souza as the left-back options. Souza has yet to make the matchday squad under De Zerbi, while Spence has played just 14 minutes.
Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, Mohamed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Cristian Romero, Ben Davies and Wilson Odobert are also ruled out.
However, James Maddison is in contention to make his first appearance of the season. He was named in the matchday squad for the 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Spurs are two points from safety. They need to string results together to keep their top-flight status, starting with this clash.
Wolves, whose relegation was confirmed on Monday, have little at stake. However, they have won their last three league home games against Tottenham.
Tottenham are now exploring additional measures in their fight to avoid relegation. They are reportedly looking for a psychologist to help prepare the players mentally for their remaining fixtures.
After their trip to Wolves, Spurs travel to European hopefuls Aston Villa and Chelsea. They will also host Leeds United and Everton.
