Brighton & Hove Albion have opened talks with Amario Cozier-Duberry over a new contract.
The 20-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Bolton Wanderers, where his performances have attracted growing attention.
Brighton are keen to reward that development with improved terms, even though his existing deal already runs until 2028.
Discussions are ongoing, with the club aiming to strengthen their position amid interest from clubs in Germany, Portugal, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
Cozier-Duberry joined Brighton on a free transfer from Arsenal in 2024, and the club’s recruitment staff have continued to monitor his progress closely during his loan spell.
Sporting director Jason Ayto is familiar with the player, having previously worked within Arsenal’s academy set-up.
The winger has impressed at Bolton this season, contributing nine goals in 36 appearances across all competitions while operating in an attacking role that suits his direct style.
His form has been especially notable in league action, where he has combined goals with a steady stream of assists to underline his growing influence in the final third.
After a poor loan spell at Blackburn Rovers last season, Cozier-Duberry has benefited from a system that allows him to cut inside and attack defenders more freely.
A knee ligament injury briefly disrupted his momentum earlier this year, but he has returned strongly and quickly re-established himself in the starting line-up.
He marked his return with a standout display, scoring twice in a commanding victory over Stevenage, further strengthening Brighton’s belief in his long-term potential.
If a new contract is agreed, Brighton are expected to assess their options in the summer regarding his next step.
A further loan move remains a possibility, particularly if Brighton cannot guarantee regular first-team opportunities.
However, the prospect of European qualification could influence that decision, as a more demanding schedule would increase the need for squad depth.
