Eddie Nketiah will miss the remainder of the season after suffering another hamstring injury, according to Oliver Glasner.
The striker has endured a frustrating campaign with Crystal Palace after recurring fitness problems limited his appearances.
Glasner confirmed that Nketiah’s latest injury setback means the forward will not play again this season.
The Palace manager revealed that the diagnosis was delivered shortly before the club’s recent European fixture.
The manager explained that the club’s medical team informed him of the injury late in the evening following medical assessments.
Nketiah had initially been expected to return to action in April.
However, the 26-year-old suffered another hamstring problem during a recent training session.
That is the fourth hamstring injury he has sustained during the current campaign.
Nketiah has not played for Palace since their 1-0 Premier League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on December 28. The striker has been unavailable for 30 matches this term.
Despite those interruptions, he still made 19 appearances across all competitions. He has bagged four goals and one assist.
Nketiah joined Palace from Arsenal in 2024. The forward signed a five-year contract with Palace that keeps him at the club until 2029.
Glasner emphasised that the immediate priority is ensuring Nketiah returns fully fit for next season.
The manager said the club will focus on stabilising the injury and preparing the player for pre-season.
Palace are expected to prioritise rehabilitation rather than rushing the striker back into action.
That approach is designed to help Nketiah regain the rhythm that injuries have repeatedly disrupted.
Palace will now continue the remainder of the season without the striker as they balance domestic competition with their ongoing European campaign.
