Everton confident of signing Manchester City’s Jack Grealish on permanent deal

Everton are reportedly confident of signing Manchester City’s Jack Grealish on a permanent deal this summer.

The 30-year-old was impressive during the first half of the season after joining the Toffees on loan from City.

Grealish made eight direct goal contributions in 22 appearances across all competitions.

However, he picked up a foot injury in January that ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign

According to the Daily Mail, Everton fancy their chances of signing Grealish this summer.

His current loan agreement includes a £50 million option to buy, but they want to negotiate a lower fee.  Everton believe a fee in the region of £20m would be more realistic.

Grealish joined City for £100m in 2021. He failed to justify his enormous price tag and struggled for game time under manager Pep Guardiola.

He has a year left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, but it remains to be seen if City will give Everton a £30m discount.

The 30-year-old is a gifted forward. He is highly rated for his passing and playmaking skills.

Grealish mainly featured as a left winger this season, but he is also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or in a deeper, controlling role.
