Roberto De Zerbi open to joining Tottenham as new manager immediately

Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly willing to take over Tottenham Hotspur as their new manager.

De Zerbi has emerged as one of the top candidates to replace Igor Tudor, who was sacked on Sunday after a disastrous spell. The Italian is available after leaving Marseille in February.

He was reportedly unwilling to step in for the final few matches of the season. However, Sky Italy claims he is prepared to join the relegation-threatened club immediately.

The Lilywhites could face opposition from several supporters’ groups, who have expressed concern about De Zerbi’s previous public support for Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood had charges of attempted rape and assault dropped in February 2023 when he was a Manchester United player.

Sean Dyche is another contender to fill the managerial vacancy at Tottenham.

Dyche was sacked by Nottingham Forest last month, but he has the experience of helping clubs avoid relegation, including Everton and Burnley.

His recent comments suggest he could be open to joining Spurs

Tottenham are currently just a point above the relegation zone with just seven games remaining.

They appointed Tudor to replace Thomas Frank last month, but it proved to be a disastrous call.

The Croatian picked up just one point from five Premier League matches, leaving the club in serious danger of relegation.
