Nottingham Forest have reduced ticket prices for their upcoming Europa League fixture against Midtjylland in an effort to boost attendance at the City Ground.
The two sides will meet in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Thursday night.
Forest confirmed that ticket prices have been reduced by £10 across all areas of the stadium for season ticket holders and club members.
Supporters who have already purchased tickets will also receive a refund covering the price difference.
The club announced the change after sales for the fixture progressed more slowly than expected.
Large sections of unsold seats were still available for the match earlier this week.
Forest said the decision was taken to ensure as many supporters as possible can attend the important European fixture.
The fixture represents a major opportunity for the club to advance in European competition.
Forest are attempting to reach the quarter-finals of a continental tournament for the first time in three decades.
Their return to European football has created excitement and financial pressure for fans.
Supporters have already travelled extensively across Europe to follow the team.
Forest have played away matches in Spain, Austria, Netherlands, Portugal and Turkey during this campaign.
Ticket pricing has been a major talking point among the fanbase throughout the season.
Adult tickets for the Midtjylland game had originally been priced between £50 and £70.
Some supporters expressed concern that those prices made European matches difficult to attend regularly.
The Nottingham Forest Supporters Trust recently published survey results highlighting those concerns.
Several respondents said the cost of European fixtures had limited attendance for some fans.
The club’s decision to reduce prices appears to be a direct response to that feedback.
