Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has changed his stance on Casemiro after his excellent display against Fulham on Sunday.
The Manchester United star opened the scoring with a superb header in the 19th minute.
Casemiro turned provider as he slipped the ball through the defence for Matheus Cunha to add a second.
Fulham looked to have rescued a point after late goals from Raul Jimenez and Kevin, but Benjamin Sesko produced a stunning finish to complete a 3-2 victory for United.
Casemiro struggled for form in 2024, prompting Carragher to say he should leave football. However, he has been forced to backtrack on his previous comments.
“It is now fair to say the football has not left him,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“Considering what he’s producing this season in the Premier League, and not just Fulham at home, you think what he did last week against Arsenal away and Manchester City at home.
“He looks like a different player physically as well.”

Casemiro has started all three games under interim manager Michael Carrick.
He impressed with his performances in wins over Man and Arsenal, but his best display came against Fulham on Sunday.
Besides the two direct goal contributions, the Brazil international made three clearances and three recoveries.
He won all of his aerial duels and was dribbled past just once during his 75 minutes on the pitch.
Casemiro has confirmed he will be leaving United at the end of this season. He has bagged 22 goals and 14 assists in 148 appearances across all competitions for the club.
