Arsenal 2-3 Man United: Cunha’s strike sends Red Devils fourth

Manchester United claimed a 3-2 victory over Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

Arsenal took the lead in the 29th minute. Bukayo Saka’s cross deflected into Martin Odegaard’s path, and his effort was turned into the net by Lisandro Martínez.

United restored parity through Bryan Mbeumo, who took advantage of Martin Zubimendi’s poor pass to slot beyond David Raya.

The Cameroonian took advantage of another loose pass before the interval, but his effort drifted wide of the post.

United continued their momentum after half-time, and Patrick Dorgu’s superb strike gave them the lead.

The Denmark international combined with Bruno Fernandes before unleashing a powerful drive beyond Raya.

Arsenal came close to levelling the scores, but Mbeumo made a last-ditch goalline clearance to avert the danger.

Substitute Mikel Merino restored parity for the hosts, firing a rebound home after United failed to clear their lines from a corner.

Matheus Cunha made it 3-2, curling the ball into the bottom corner.

The defeat was Arsenal’s first home loss this season and reduced their lead at the top of the standings to four points.
