‘Fight isn’t over’ – Cristiano Ronaldo posts defiant message after Al-Nassr suffer second straight defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal of 2026, but Al-Nassr slumped to a 2-1 loss to Al-Qadsiah on Thursday.

This is their second straight defeat in the Saudi Pro League (SPL), having lost 3-2 to Al-Ahli last week when Ronaldo missed a golden scoring opportunity in the second half.

The Portuguese star was back to his best against Al-Qadsiah as he scored a late penalty goal to spark hopes of a comeback for the hosts.

However, Brendan Rodgers’ men held out to secure maximum points following second-half goals from Julian Quinones and Nahitan Nandez.

Al-Nassr have now slipped four points behind leaders Al-Hilal in the league standings, but Ronaldo insists tht title race is still alive.

Ronaldo has scored 108 goals in 122 appearances across all competitions since joining Al-Nassr.

Despite his excellent individual numbers, the forward is yet to win major silverware with the Riyadh-based outfit.

Ronaldo has scored 14 goals in 13 league games this season, helping Al-Nassr make an excellent start to the 2025-26 season.

They won their first 11 SPL matches, but have since lost two of their last three fixtures, allowing Al-Hilal to climb to the top.

The two teams will now meet for a crunch clash at the Kingdom Arena on Monday
