Big blow for West Ham as Lucas Paqueta a major doubt for Wolves clash

West Ham United are set to face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday.

Lucas Paqueta is an injury doubt for the crucial game, per the Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg. .

The 28-year-old has been a key player for West Ham this season scoring four goals in 17 Premier League matches.

Paqueta produced a mixed performance in Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion. He scored and assisted a goal, but also gave away a silly penalty.

The Brazil international was set to start against Wolves, but it appears he will not be involved.

West Ham also remain without centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo, although he is only dealing with a minor knock and should be back in action soon.

El Hadji Malick Diouf and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are currently playing at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and are likely to miss a few more games.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo is under pressure, as West Ham are currently on an eight-game winless run and sit 18th in the league standings

The have a brilliant opportunity to end their miserable run as they take on a Wolves side who are yet to claim a Premier League victory this season.
