Manchester United target Elliot Anderson will not leave Nottingham Forest this winter

Manchester United have been heavily linked with an interest in Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson

However, reputed journalist David Ornstein reveals that Anderson will not move to another club in the winter transfer window.

Forest are reportedly unwilling to listen to offers in the middle of the season, while Anderson is not agitating to leave the club.

The Tricky Trees value Anderson in the region of £80-£100 million, making it an unrealistic move from a financial perspective for most clubs.

United spent the bulk of their transfer budget on bolstering their attack last summer, signing Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

Their priority now lies in midfield, as Manuel Ugarte doesn’t offer quality in possession and Casemiro has reached the age of 33.

United have earmarked Carlos Baleba, Adam Wharton and Tyler Adams as possible signings, but they are most keen to seal a move for Anderson.

The 23-year-old is a top midfielder who has proven his skills with Forest. He has made 64 appearances across all competitions, bagging three goals and seven assists.

Anderson’s performances have also earned him six caps for the England national team.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are also interested in the midfielder and could make a move in the summer.
