Liverpool, Barcelona and PSG lead in nominations for 2025 Globe Soccer awards

Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Liverpool have the most players in Globe Soccer’s 2025 Best Men’s Player Award 25-man shortlist.

Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Achraf Hakimi, Desire Doue, Nuno Mendes, Fabian Ruiz and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were the nominees from the French giants.

Barcelona have four nominations – Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz are also on the shortlist.

The award winner will be announced after two voting stages. The first involves only online voters, while the winner is determined by public votes and a jury comprising football professionals.

Vinicius Junior won it last year, but he is unlikely to retain it after enduring a poor season.

Dembele is the front-runner, given that he won the Ballon d’Or and Champions League Player of the Season, potentially making him the fourth Frenchman to win it.
