Manchester City host Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
Both teams have collected seven points from their opening three games in the competition.
Match preview
Man City defeated Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday and will be aiming to build on that result against Dortmund.
City have an excellent recent home record against German teams. They have also yet to taste defeat on their own patch against Dortmund, making them favourites for this encounter.
Nicko Kovac’s side will pose a stern test for City, particularly given their offensive prowess in the Champions League this season.
They have scored 12 goals, six more than City and only one fewer than the competition’s top scorers, Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Dortmund have been defensively vulnerable, conceding seven goals – a weakness that City could exploit.
Head-to-head
Man City have won three, drawn two and lost one of their six meetings with Dortmund in the Champions League.
Team news
Both teams have a near-clean bill of health. Midfielder Mateo Kovacic is sidelined for City, while young Julien Duranville is the only absentee for Dortmund.
Key players
Man City

Rayan Cherki: Cherki registered two assists against Bournemouth and could be handed his first European start for City in this clash.
Borussia Dortmund
Felix Nmecha: Nmecha is Dortmund’s leading scorer in Europe with three goals. He is one of the club’s most creative players.
Karim Adeyemi: Ranks joint-first for most goal involvements and big chances created among the Dortmund squad.
