Tottenham Hotspur have appointed American aviation executive Eric Hinson to their board as a non-executive director, continuing the club’s off-field restructuring.
Hinson becomes the fifth member of the refreshed board. His appointment marks another significant step in Tottenham’s modernised leadership approach following a period of upheaval.
He previously served as the chief executive officer and president of SimCom International, a Florida-based pilot training firm, and held senior roles at FlightSafety International and Piaggio America.
He also sits on the board of Space Florida and formerly chaired the General Aviation Manufacturers Association.
Before entering the corporate world, Hinson served as a pilot and officer in the United States Navy, flying the F/A-18 Hornet and working in operational test squadrons.
Tottenham view his background in both high-pressure military and business environments as valuable to the club’s strategic and organisational ambitions. Hinson expressed enthusiasm about joining the club.
“I am delighted to have been appointed to the board and to be bringing a different set of skills to support the management team,” he said.
“I am looking forward to working with the board to support the great work already underway.”
His arrival restores the Tottenham board to five members after a turbulent year of change. The club parted ways with chairman Daniel Levy last month, ending his 25-year tenure.
Executive director Donna-Maria Cullen also stepped down earlier in the summer as part of the shake-up.
Peter Charrington and Vinai Venkatesham, who joined the board earlier this year, have overseen efforts to steady the organisation amid the leadership transition.
The club views Hinson’s appointment as part of a broader commitment to stability and renewed focus.
