The Premier League has released the nominees for September’s Player and Manager of the Month.
Everton loanee Jack Grealish and Liverpool’s Arne Slot won the awards categories last month.
September’s Player of the Month nominees
Man City striker Erling Braut Haaland, Crystal Palace midfielder Daichi Kamada and Brighton & Hove Albion forward Yankuba Minteh are in contention for the prize.
Sunderland duo Granit Xhaka and Robin Roefs, and Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi are also nominees for this category.
Haaland scored five goals in three games – three more than any other player. He also registered one assist to merit his nomination.
Kamada has excelled as a deep-lying midfielder for Palace. He created five chances and won 17 duels to help the Eagles maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
Only Haaland had more goal involvements than Minteh last month. He registered an assist against Bournemouth and Chelsea and scored in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
Roefs kept two clean sheets and made 17 saves, helping Sunderland to fifth in the standings. Xhaka registered two assists and won 23 duels to join him on the list.
Zubimendi was the second-highest scorer in the division last month, scoring two goals in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.
September’s Manager of the Month nominees
Mikel Arteta, Oliver Gasner, Pep Guardiola and Regis Le Bris are the nominees for Manager of the Month.
Arteta guided Arsenal to two wins and one draw last month. The Gunners beat Forest and Newcastle United and drew with City.
Glasner ended Liverpool’s flawless start to the season at Selhurst Park last weekend. Palace beat West Ham United and drew with Sunderland in other fixtures.
Guardiola’s City secured a 1-1 draw at Arsenal, defeated Manchester United in the Manchester derby and beat Burnley last weekend.
Sunderland were also unbeaten under Le Bris last month, winning once and drawing twice, conceding just once. His side drew against Aston Villa and Palace before beating Forest.
