Paris Saint-Germain were navigating a raft of injuries to key players before they took on Auxerre yesterday.
Marquinhos, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and Joao Neves are on the treatment table.
Unfortunately, the Ligue 1 champions suffered two more setbacks ahead of their Champions League clash with Barcelona.
Influential midfielder Vitinha came off after picking up a knock, and winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia followed him.
PSG beat Auxerre 2-0 with a second-string side, but losing key players gives manager Luis Enrique a headache ahead of a crucial game with Barca.
Vitinha is a massive miss for PSG. His ability to control proceedings in the middle of the park is world-class, and the midfield battle with Pedri would have made for a phenomenal watch.
Kvaratskhelia poses a threat to any backline. His directness disrupts rearguards, and he would be a menace for PSG against Barca.
The Ligue 1 champions played around 60 games last season, reaching the finals of the UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup. Unsurprisingly, it is taking a toll on the players.
Enrique will have to make do with the players at his disposal as PSG bid to hold on to their Champions League crown.
They made an excellent start with a 4-0 win over Atalanta and will be eager to continue that run with a victory against the Catalans.
Barcelona are also dealing with a lengthy injury list.
The La Liga champions announced that goalkeeper Joan Garcia is ruled out for around four to six weeks after picking up an injury.
The Blaugrana will also be without Fermin Lopez for around three weeks after he picked up a muscle injury in the victory over Getafe last week.
