Chelsea Women beat West Ham United 4-0 in the Women’s Super League at Chigwell Construction Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues opened the scoring in the eighth minute, when Aggie Beever-Jones curled a free-kick home.
According to the BBC, she is the first player to score in the club’s first four league matches.
West Ham nearly made an immediate response as Katrina Gorry’s effort from 20 yards out hit the woodwork.
Rytting Kaneryd doubled Chelsea’s lead from six yards in the 13th minute, after brilliant work from Wieke Kaptein.
Erin Cuthbert soon made it 3-0, taking control of the ball from a turnover. With no West Ham defender to close her down, she pinged her shot into the top corner.
West Ham’s woes deepened when Ines Belloumou was sent off in the 23rd minute after fouling Alyssa Thompson.
Chelsea almost increased their tally in stoppage time when Kaptein hit the woodwork.
They began the second half on the front foot, and Oriane Jean-Francois hit the side netting. West Ham also created an opening in the 52nd minute, as Amber Tysiak flicked a header wide.
Goalkeeper Hannah Hampton made a good save to deny West Ham from pulling one back before the hour mark as the hosts began to enjoy more possession.
The new Yashin Trophy winner produced another super stop in the 70th minute, preventing Ffion Morgan from scoring one-on-one.
Despite the Hammers’ push, Chelsea added to their advantage seconds later, with Kaptein finishing clinically after combining with Catarina Macario.
Macario then forced goalkeeper Kinga Szemik to save from close range before she lashed a loose ball onto the woodwork.
Chelsea remain the only unbeaten side in the league and face Manchester United in a top-of-the-table clash on Friday.
