Casemiro was sent off just before half-time after collecting his second yellow card.

Maguire justifies his selection
Fans were surprised when Leny Yoro wasn’t in the team, with Ruben Amorim opting to feature Harry Maguire in central defence. He justified his selection.
Maguire won all of his aerial duels and assisted Casemiro’s goal. He had 49 touches and completed 83 percent of his passes.
The experienced defender made a strong case for another start when United visit Brentford next weekend.
Man Utd team fully behind Amorim
Amorim’s future at Old Trafford has been a subject of speculation following the club’s poor start to the season.
There were rumours that the players were unhappy with him. However, Saturday’s crucial victory made it clear that the team is behind Amorim.
While their levels dropped after the break, it was a good display from the Manchester giants.
Diallo continues to struggle
Amad Diallo has been woeful this season. The Ivorian struggled to make an impact in the 3-0 loss to Manchester City and was poor against Chelsea.
Diallo’s decision-making in critical areas of the pitch left a lot to be desired. He lost possession on eight occasions, highlighting his wastefulness.
He is not good enough to start for United.
No place for Mainoo
Many expected Amorim to start Kobbie Mainoo against the Blues, but he brought in Casemiro to partner Fernandes in midfield.
Amorim’s selection paid off as both midfielders scored against Chelsea. But Mainoo will not have been happy with a peripheral role once again.
The 20-year-old has not started once in United’s five Premier League matches this season.
