Rashford reveals he is gaining valuable lessons at Barcelona

Marcus Rashford has revealed he is gaining valuable lessons since completing his summer loan move to Barcelona.

The English forward joined the La Liga ahead of the 2025 season and has shown signs of improvement.

The 27-year-old was the difference for Hansi Flick’s side in their 2-1 Champions League win over Newcastle United tonight, scoring both goals away from home.

Rashford reflects on learning at Barcelona

His performance was key in helping the Catalan club secure victory at St James’ Park. He told TNT Sports that he is getting accustomed to a new style of football.

“It’s making me a better player,” he said. “Honestly, it’s an amazing experience. I’ve always been a huge admirer of Barcelona, every player my age has watched them play, it’s amazing football.”

The forward also emphasised his drive to succeed under Flick, noting that he feels motivated to continue improving.

He acknowledged the level of competition in the Champions League and insisted that Barcelona must continue to work hard.

Barcelona will now look to carry the momentum into domestic action. Their attention turns back to La Liga, where they host Getafe this weekend.

Rashford will be eager to demonstrate that this performance was not a one-off, having struggled to produce his best form in recent seasons.
