Trabzonspor reach verbal agreement with Manchester United to sign Andre Onana on loan

Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement to loan goalkeeper Andre Onana to Trabzonspor for the rest of the season.

The Red Devils signed Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on deadline day, and Onana is now surplus to requirements.

Onana has not started in the Premier League this season, with manager Ruben Amorim preferring Altay Bayindir for the first three matches.

Amorim brought in the Cameroon international for the League Cup game against Grimsby Town, but his mistakes cost United two goals. He failed to shine in the penalty shoot-out.

Onana is set for a move to Turkey after Man Utd and Trabzonspor reached an agreement over a loan deal.

The Turkish transfer window remains open until September 12, providing sufficient time to complete the deal.

Onana came to United with a big reputation after impressive performances at Ajax and Inter Milan.

However, he has been guilty of making numerous high-profile mistakes since joining United.

He made five errors leading to goals as the Red Devils finished 15th in the Premier League last season.

United did not actively seek to offload Onana during the summer transfer window, but they have changed their stance after signing Lammens.
