Tottenham Hotspur making progress in pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani with personal terms almost agreed

Tottenham Hotspur are making significant strides in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 26-year-old spent the latter half of last season on loan at Serie A giants Juventus and is keen on a fresh start away from PSG, where he is surplus to requirements.

After scoring a respectable 10 goals in 22 matches across all competitions during his six-month spell in Turin, Kolo Muani has been linked with Newcastle and Manchester United this summer.

Juventus had initially pursued a permanent deal for Kolo Muani, but negotiations with PSG stalled. They have since signed Lois Openda from RB Leipzig.

PSG are holding out for a permanent exit to part ways with Kolo Muani, but Spurs are pushing for an initial loan with an obligation to buy next summer.

Blessed with a turn of pace, sharp movement and clinical finishing, Kolo Muani would offer Tottenham added firepower in attack after the acquisition of Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus.

The Frenchman’s arrival would also provide cover and competition across Spurs’ front line, especially given injury concerns surrounding Dominic Solanke, who missed Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Kolo Muani primarily operates as a centre forward but can also be deployed as a winger or as a supporting striker.
