Celtic will return to Scottish Premiership action on Sunday as they take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
The Bhoys kicked off their 2025-26 season by claiming a 1-0 victory over St Mirren, while the Dons lost 2-0 to Hearts.
Match Preview
Aberdeen secured a fifth-placed finish last season, narrowly missing out on the European places.
They ended their season on a high by winning the Scottish FA Cup after beating Celtic 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw over 120 minutes.
But since lifting the trophy in May, Aberdeen have lost three and won just one of their four matches.
Their latest defeat came at Hearts in their opening match of the season, with Stuart Finlay scoring late after an own-goal from Graeme Shinnie.
Celtic made a winning start to the new campaign by defeating St Mirren last weekend.
The game looked to be heading for a draw before Luke McCowan scored an 87th-minute goal to seal maximum points for the hosts.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have had a good pre-season, recording four wins, one draw and just two defeats.
Team News
Aberdeen will not be able to call upon the services of Emmanuel Gyamfi and Kristers Tobers as the duo are currently recovering from fitness issues.
Celtic’s Jota will likely be out until at least January due to a cruciate ligament injury. Kieran Tierney could be dropped to the bench after coming off against St Mirren due to injury concerns.
