Arsenal’s success in the 2019/20 FA Cup was expected to lay the foundations for the club to regularly win major silverware.
However, manager Mikel Arteta has failed to guide the club to another trophy, raising questions about whether he is the right man for the job.
A patchy record in the transfer market has left the Gunners squad short in some key areas, resulting in three consecutive second-place finishes in the Premier League.

Arteta has trotted out a plethora of excuses over the past few seasons in a bid to explain why Arsenal have not won silverware.
He recently appeared to be getting his excuses in early, claiming that almost half of the teams in the Premier League are capable of clinching top spot.
The club’s business during the summer transfer window has given Arteta a squad that should be capable of winning a league title.
If the Spaniard comes up short again, Arsenal would be well advised to send him packing.
