RB Leipzig and Stuttgart express interest in Armando Broja

RB Leipzig and Stuttgart have shown interest in signing Chelsea striker Armando Broja this summer, according to The Athletic.

The 23-year-old recently returned to Chelsea following a loan spell at Everton during the 2024-25 season, which included an option to buy for around £30 million.

However, Everton opted not to make the move permanent and have signed Thierno Barry, leaving Broja’s future open for negotiations.

Despite the striker’s existing deal at Stamford Bridge running until 2028, Broja could be set for a move to Germany amid interest from Leipzig and Stuttgart.

Broja’s blend of physicality and technique fits well with Leipzig’s high-energy, transitional style of play.

They view Broja as a valuable asset who could add depth and goal threat, fitting the profile of a younger talent who can be further developed.

Stuttgart are aiming to boost their frontline after a strong 2024-25 campaign. They won the DFB-Pokal to secure a spot in the Europa League for next season.

They are open to negotiating a loan move at this stage, although Chelsea are expected to hold out for a permanent deal.

Injuries and inconsistent playing time have disrupted Broja’s time at Chelsea. His loan stints with Fulham and Everton were largely underwhelming.

Joining Leipzig or Stuttgart would offer Broja a platform to relaunch his career away from the intense scrutiny and fierce competition at Chelsea.
