Liverpool have been handed a tricky schedule at the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
They will start their league campaign with a home game against Bournemouth on Friday, August 15.
Liverpool then face Newcastle United in their first away game before hosting Arsenal. Their opening six games are as follows:
- Aug 15 – Bournemouth (H)
- Aug 23 – Newcastle United (A)
- Aug 30 – Arsenal (H)
- Sep 13 – Burnley (A)
- Sep 20 – Everton (H)
- Sep 27 – Crystal Palace (A)
Liverpool host rivals Manchester United on October 18, while they face Ruben Amorim’s side at Old Trafford on May 2.
They travel to Chelsea on October 4 and meet them at home on May 9.
The fixtures against Manchester City will take place at Etihad Stadium on November 8 and at Anfield on February 7.
Liverpool will travel to Tottenham Hotspur on December 20, and the reverse fixture is scheduled for March 14.
The first Merseyside derby against Everton will be held at Anfield on September 20, and the return fixture is scheduled for April 18.
Arne Slot’s side’s last six fixtures are tough, as they will face Everton, Man United, Chelsea and Aston Villa during that period.
The Reds won the league comfortably last season and will aim to win the title for the second consecutive season.
They have been active in the transfer window, signing Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen and agreeing a deal for his teammate Florian Wirtz.
Liverpool are still in the market for a new striker. They have been linked with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike, who is also on the radar of Chelsea and Manchester United.
However, a deal is reliant on sales. Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have all been linked with an exit from the club.
