Napoli are in negotiations to sign RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa in the summer transfer window (h/t journalist Gianluca Di Marzio).
The newly-crowned Serie A champions have been linked with an array of targets as they aim to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Manager Antonio Conte is looking for a top-class left-winger to fill the void left by Georgian superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia earlier this year.
Nusa had just enjoyed an impressive debut season at Leipzig, bagging five goals and seven assists in all competitions.
The 20-year-old also scored a belter of a goal and provided an assist in Norway’s recent win over Italy in the World Cup qualifiers.
Leipzig could struggle to retain Nusa after failing to qualify for the Champions League, but they are likely to demand a substantial sum to part ways with him.
Nusa is a diamond in the rough, but he has all the tools to reach greater heights in his career.
The former Club Brugge star stood out in an underwhelming campaign for Leipzig. His outstanding numbers also rank him among the best dribblers and progressive wingers in Europe.
Conte could help Nusa take his game to the next level and be a lethal outlet in the attacking third.
He has also identified Bologna’s Swiss forward Dan Ndoye as a top target to reinforce the attack.
Napoli are set to lose the transfer race for Lille striker Jonathan David despite being in pole position for several weeks.
The Scudetto winners are close to announcing the signing of Belgian winger Kevin De Bruyne, who has his medicals scheduled on Thursday.
They are also in advanced negotiations for the signing of AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah.
