Turkish champions Galatasaray are in advanced negotiations to sign Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane on a free transfer (h/t L’Equipe).
Bayern have been in talks to extend the German international’s contract, which expires this summer, but to no avail.
Sane has turned down the Bavarians’ improved offer worth €12 million plus €3.5m in bonuses, signalling his desire to leave as a free agent.
Arsenal were interested in signing the former Manchester City star, but he is now leaning towards a move to Turkey.
Galatasaray are confident of striking an agreement with Sane after proposing a three-year deal worth around €11m per season.
Sane has been an integral part of the Bayern squad, registering 61 goals and 55 assists in 220 appearances.
However, the 29-year-old slipped down the pecking order under manager Vincent Kompany this season.
He still contributed to Bayern regaining the Bundesliga title from Bayer Leverkusen, bagging 11 goals and six assists.
With a move to Galatasaray looking imminent, Sane will not represent Bayern in the Club World Cup this month.
Bayern are also looking to sell Kingsley Coman to raise funds this summer. Saudi Pro League clubs are showing concrete interest in the Frenchman.
The German champions have identified Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and AC Milan winger Rafael Leao as top targets to bolster their attack.
Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward Bradley Barcola is also on their wishlist, but the Ligue 1 club are unwilling to sanction his sale.
Galatasaray are also trying to extend the loan of Victor Osimhen following his stellar season.
Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly interested in the Napoli star, who has turned down a lucrative offer from Al-Hilal.
