Barcelona have added Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman to their list of potential attacking targets for the summer (h/t Catalunya Radio).
The Nigerian international is one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market, as La Dea are planning to cash in on him this summer.
Barca manager Hansi Flick admires Lookman’s profile and believes he can be a great fit for his system.
La Dea value him at more than €40 million, but the Catalan giants feel he can be signed for around €30m
Lookman has been in prolific form for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side over the last couple of seasons, bagging 52 goals and 25 assists in 118 appearances.
He first stole the spotlight after scoring a memorable hat-trick in the victory against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2023/24 Europa League final.
His stellar form led to him winning the African Footballer of the Year award last year.
The 27-year-old has netted 20 goals and seven assists this season to help the Bergamo-based outfit qualify for the Champions League.
A highly versatile forward, Lookman can play in several attacking positions.
He is known for his explosive pace, dribbling prowess and progressive carrying, which make him an ideal fit for Barca on the left flank.
The Blaugrana face competition from Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus for Lookman.
Barca have earmarked Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford as their top targets to bolster their forward line.
Diaz is keen on moving to the Catalonian capital from Liverpool, but his hefty price tag could prove to be a sticking point.
Rashford views Barca as his dream destination and is willing to reduce his salary to complete the move.
Manchester United want £40m for him, while Barca are exploring a loan move.
