Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, according to the Independent.
The Red Devils would love to keep the Portuguese playmaker, but they may need to sell to balance the books and bolster their coffers as they look to rebuild.
Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal reportedly tabled a £100 million offer for Fernandes, but gave United a short deadline to respond.
However, if Fernandes wants to stay in Europe, he still has interest from numerous European clubs.
PSG have a technically brilliant midfield, but Fernandes would give them a new dimension in the engine room.
Bayern could also use Fernandes after missing out on Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.
The German international is more keen on a move to Liverpool, leaving Die Rekordmeister empty-handed.
PSG and Bayern will be reluctant to match the £100m Al-Hilal have put on the table, and more suitors could come forward for his signature.
Fernandes has been Man Utd’s best player since joining, but the club looks ready to go all in on manager Ruben Amorim.
They must give the Portuguese tactician a lethal striker, a midfielder, and two inside forwards to stand a chance of bouncing back from a woeful season.
Man Utd need a replacement for Fernandes and should look no further than Lyon star Rayan Cherki, who is available for around €40 million.
The Frenchman created 22 big chances in Ligue 1 and another 15 in the Europa League. He is excellent in the final third and can fit into one of the inside forward positions in Amorim’s 4-2-3-1.
Cherki is reportedly looking for a new stomping ground, and Man Utd should pull out the stops to bring him to England.
