Manchester City are ready to bring in new full-backs this summer after enduring a tough season.
They sit third in the Premier League and will end the campaign without silverware after losing in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.
Pep Guardiola’s team have struggled in defence, especially in wide areas. Their full-backs have failed to deliver consistently at both ends of the pitch.
City will reportedly bring in new players in those positions. Here are five full-backs who could improve their defence next season.
Antonee Robinson

Fulham’s left-back has been one of the most reliable defenders this season. He has defended well and helped his side’s attack.
Marco Silva’s team have kept five clean sheets this term. Robinson has provided 10 assists in the Premier League, more than any other defender.
Rayan Ait-Nouri

Wolverhampton Wanderers full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is another top target for City. The 23-year-old has shown real quality this season, despite playing in a struggling team.
His ability to defend and attack purposefully makes him a good fit for Guardiola. He has bagged five goals and seven assists in all competitions this season.
Daniel Munoz

Crystal Palace right-back Daniel Munoz has impressed since arriving from Genk in January 2024. He is quick, hard-working and highly versatile.
He played a key role in Palace’s FA Cup win over City, setting up the winning goal. The Colombian has tallied six goals and eight assists across all competitions.
Andrea Cambiaso

Andrea Cambiaso would be an excellent addition to Guardiola’s squad. The 25-year-old Italian can play as a wing-back or in central defence.
He is brilliant with both feet and is known for his precise crosses and technical skills. His versatility and strong defensive capabilities would provide City with increased balance at the back.
Destiny Udogie

City are also watching Tottenham Hotspur’s Destiny Udogie. The young left-back played a key role in Spurs’ Europa League triumph over Manchester United.
Udogie brings a mix of pace, attacking intent and defensive strength. He is renowned for his smart runs and ability to support counter-attacks while staying alert defensively.
