Atletico Madrid are monitoring Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fabio Silva ahead of a potential move this summer (h/t Diario AS).
The 22-year-old will return to Molineux when his loan spell at Las Palmas expires at the end of the season.
The Portuguese youngster has revived himself with the Spanish outfit after experiencing underwhelming loan spells at PSV Eindhoven and Rangers.
He has bagged ten goals and three assists in La Liga this season, although his absence through injury in the last few games proved costly for Las Palmas, who were relegated to the second division.
Silva’s form has caught the attention of several Bundesliga clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Wolves plan to sell Silva this summer to avoid losing him for free when his contract runs out next year.
Atletico have identified Silva as a potential replacement for Angel Correa, who will bid farewell at the end of the season.
Colchoneros have endured a lacklustre 2024/25 campaign, failing to win any trophies, although they have secured a place in the Champions League.
Their attack has been one of the positives, with Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sorloth enjoying prolific seasons.
Simeone wants to add more depth to their frontline and admires Silva’s profile.
He has also earmarked Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez as a high-profile target for the summer.
The Premier League champions are looking to sell the Uruguayan, who is eager to move to Madrid.
Atletico have also lined up Villarreal’s Alex Baena and Real Betis midfielder Johnny Cardoso as summer targets.
