Saudi Pro League (SPL) clubs are strongly interested in Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez and Leon Bailey ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the Telegraph, the specific clubs involved are yet to be confirmed.
SPL teams have been active in signing top players from European leagues in recent seasons.
A move for either Martinez or Bailey would continue that trend of ambitious spending.
Martinez could be a huge signing for Saudi clubs

Martinez is one of the most experienced goalkeepers in Europe. He won the World Cup with Argentina in 2022 and played a key role in the final.
He has since been recognised globally, winning the Yashin Trophy twice and being named FIFA’s best goalkeeper in 2022.
Although Martinez has not been at his best this season, he remains a top talent. He has still delivered standout moments between the sticks for Unai Emery’s side.
He is under contract with Aston Villa until 2029 and is among the club’s top earners. According to transfermarkt, the Argentine is valued at £21 million.
A move for Martinez would be a smart coup for any Saudi club, especially with his winning record and experience at the highest level.
Villa have already allowed Jhon Duran to join SPL club Al-Nassr in a big-money move. Moussa Diaby also joined Al-Ittihad last year to help the club comply with financial rules.
Bailey may be allowed to leave Villa this summer

Bailey has struggled for form and game time under Emery this season. The Jamaica international has not started a league match since March 8.
He has dealt with injury problems but was fit enough to feature off the bench in the FA Cup semi-final loss to Crystal Palace.
Bailey’s future at the club looks uncertain, and Villa are open to offers. His market value currently stands at £27m.
The winger was signed for £25m in 2021 and initially agreed to a short-term deal. He later extended his contract until 2027, with the option of another year.
With Bailey slipping down the pecking order, this summer could be the right time for Villa to cash in.
