Barcelona have suffered a major injury blow as Robert Lewandowski has been ruled out with a muscle issue.
The setback comes just days before key matches against Real Mallorca, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
The Polish striker limped off in the 78th minute during Barcelona’s dramatic comeback win over Celta Vigo on Saturday.
The news follows Alejandro Balde’s hamstring injury in Barcelona’s previous La Liga match against Leganes. He missed the Celta game.
Lewandowski has been a vital figure in Hansi Flick’s squad this season. He leads the La Liga scoring charts with 25 goals and has netted 40 times in all competitions.
Barcelona confirmed the injury through an official statement on Sunday.

A three-week absence will rule him out of several games
Journalist Fabrizio Romano says the forward could be sidelined for up to three weeks.
Barcelona return to La Liga action on Tuesday night against Mallorca. Four days later, they will face Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.
Hansi Flick’s side then host Inter Milan in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final on April 30. A league clash with Real Valladolid follows on May 3.
The second leg of the Champions League semi-final is scheduled for May 6. Lewandowski’s availability for these matches is in serious doubt.
Lewandowski may return in time for the La Liga showdown with Madrid on May 11. That fixture could have a huge impact on who wins this season’s La Liga title.
His absence could disrupt Barcelona’s attacking rhythm. The striker has been key to their frontline, linking well with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.
With so many vital fixtures ahead, Lewandowski’s injury will be a genuine concern for Flick and the Barcelona supporters.
