Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is planning his next career move, with a switch to the Premier League high on his list, according to ESPN.
After falling out of favour at Napoli, Osimhen moved to Galatasaray on loan, and he has thrived since touching down in Turkey.
The 26-year-old gas bagged 28 goals and six assists in 32 games across all competitions for the Turkish powerhouse.
He is spearheading their Super Lig title charge with 20 goals and four assists in 23 league games, forcing big clubs to take notice.
Osimhen is poised to leave Gala at the end of the season.
The Turkish giants do not have a clause to sign him permanently and cannot match Napoli’s lofty demands, so Osimhen has his heart set on a Premier League move.
Napoli have slapped a £56 million asking price on the wantaway striker, making him an attractive target for several clubs across Europe.
However, the Premier League could be his next destination, especially with Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal all in the market for a new striker.
Chelsea came close to signing Osimhen before his loan move to Gala but couldn’t agree on a suitable wage structure.
While he’s still high on their list of targets, the striker’s wage demands could scupper a switch to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Osimhen is believed to be seeking a salary of around £9.4m per year after tax, which doesn’t fit into Chelsea’s revamped wage structure.
With United also looking to revamp their wage bill, they could be forced to explore the market for more cost-effective solutions and already have their sights set on Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
Delap, who is also on Chelsea’s radar, could be available for around £40m if Ipswich are relegated. He would command a significantly lower salary.
Arsenal may be more willing to match Osimhen’s demands, although they are still drooling over Newcastle United marksman Alexander Isak.
