Eight teams remain in the 2024/25 Europa League, and the quarter-final stage features some intriguing match-ups.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are still in contention, but some formidable opponents stand in their way.
Read on as we look at each of the four ties and predict who will make the semi-finals.
Lyon vs Manchester United
Lyon and Manchester United recorded resounding wins in the last-16.
The French side dispatched Romanian outfit FCSB 7-1 over two legs, while the Red Devils eased past Real Sociedad 5-2 on aggregate.
Ruben Amorim’s side are currently 13th in the Premier League table, and winning this competition is their only route to next season’s Champions League.
Both teams have struggled for consistency this season, and this tie could be decided by the finest of margins.
Prediction: Manchester United
Bodo/Glimt vs Lazio
Bodo/Glimt qualified for the Europa League quarter-finals by defeating Olympiacos 4-2 on aggregate.
The Norwegian side are looking to make it to the semi-finals of a European competition for the first time in their history.
Lazio sneaked past Czech club Viktoria Plzen in the last-16, needing a late goal from Alessio Romagnoli to prevail 3-2 on aggregate.
Marco Baroni’s men have had the tendency to dazzle and disappoint this season, but should have enough individual quality to beat Bodo/Glimt.
Prediction: Lazio
Rangers vs Athletic Club
Rangers eliminated Fenerbahce in the last-16 on a night their fans will remember for a very long time.
Goalkeeper Jack Butland produced the heroics in the penalty shoot-out, saving from Dusan Tadic and Fred to take his side through.
Spanish side Athletic Club had an equally frenzied encounter against AS Roma in the previous round but came through 4-3 on aggregate.
Currently placed fourth in the La Liga table, Athletic are having a great season and should have enough to comfortably get past Rangers.
Prediction: Athletic Club
Tottenham Hotspur vs Eintracht Frankfurt
Tottenham produced a comeback in the previous round against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, winning 3-1 at home after falling 1-0 in the first leg.
Eintracht Frankfurt have been impacted by Omar Marmoush’s exit to Manchester City in January, but they have still made progress in Europe.
There are also signs that their attacking spark is returning, as was witnessed in the round of 16 against Ajax.
Frankfurt won home and away to record a 6-3 aggregate victory. They could cause Tottenham plenty of problems.
Prediction: Eintracht Frankfurt
