Barcelona are expected to prioritise signing a right-back in the summer transfer window.
The Catalan giants have relied on Jules Kounde as their primary right-back. He has played 43 games in all competitions this season.
Despite such a high workload, the Frenchman has displayed immense consistency in Hansi Flick’s system.
He has been instrumental in Barcelona’s sublime run across all competitions, registering three goals and eight assists.
Kounde was a natural centre-back, but he has developed into one of the best full-backs in Europe over the last couple of seasons at Barca.
However, the Catalans should try to recruit a back-up for Kounde in the summer to ease his burden.

Barca sporting director Deco has been reportedly scouring the market for a right-back and has shortlisted a handful of possible targets.
According to Sport, the Catalan giants are monitoring the progress of Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read, who has enjoyed a stellar stellar rise this season.
The 18-year-old has established himself as a key cog in Feyenoord’s backline, bagging a goal and seven assists in 27 games.
The Dutch prodigy has caught wider attention with his fabulous displays in the Champions League, helping Feyenoord beat Bayern Munich and AC Milan.
However, the Dutch side were eliminated by Inter Milan in the last 16.
Considered the next big export of Eredivise, Read has drawn interest from several European clubs, including Liverpool.
The Reds have identified the Dutch prospect as one of the potential options to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.
However, Barcelona must pull out all the stops to secure Read’s services.
The Spanish giants are looking for attacking reinforcements, but reinforcing the right-back position is a necessity.
Read could be a perfect signing for the Catalan outfit, given his young age and high ceiling.

The teenager is an excellent progressor of the ball and has an eye for pinpoint crosses with an added flair to his game. He is also defensively solid.
Read’s contract expires in 2028. He is currently valued at around €4 million, but this could go up due to his demand in the market.
Barca shouldn’t have second thoughts about going all out for the Dutch prospect, who has all the tools to be a world-class player.
